Château Pesquié

France

Château Pesquié is a family-owned estate in the Ventoux appellation of the southern Rhône Valley, at the foot of Mont Ventoux. Run by the Chaudière family for three generations, it is now led by brothers Alexandre and Frédéric Chaudière, who continue a focus on expressing Ventoux’s cool, elevated terroir. The vineyards, on predominantly limestone with clay, marl and sand, are certified organic by Ecocert and farmed biodynamically under Demeter. Practices include hand harvesting, organic compost, mechanical weed control and natural-yeast fermentations. In the cellar, the estate uses stainless steel, concrete and limited oak. The wines are known for a fresh, balanced and elegant style shaped by altitude, limestone soils and cool nights.
