Château Les Gravières

France

Château Les Gravières is a family-owned Bordeaux estate in Saint-Émilion, rooted in the late 19th century. Long managed by Denis Barraud and now run by his nephew Franck Canal-Descudé, it remains guided by Franck Descudé in the cellar. The estate focuses on careful, low-intervention vineyard work, including organic soil amendments, grassed and drained vineyards, manual de-leafing, green harvesting, and hand harvesting with rigorous selection. Notes indicate AREA and HVE environmental certifications, reflecting this practical sustainability focus. With its multigenerational ownership, hands-on vineyard management, and emphasis on precise fruit selection, Château Les Gravières stands out as a traditionally minded, artisanal Saint-Émilion producer.
