Château Lanessan is a historic Haut-Médoc estate in Cussac-Fort-Médoc, founded in 1793 and long shaped by eight generations of the Bouteiller family before its sale to Treasury Wine Estates in 2022. Planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the property combines modern cellar tools such as optical sorting with a strong environmental focus, pursuing HVE 3 and ISO 14001 certification. Notes also mention organic certification since 2009, cover crops, and natural pest control. A significant part of the estate is preserved as forest and parkland. Winemaking has involved Paz Espejo, Eric Boissenot, and consultant Hubert de Bouard since the 2015 vintage.
