Cantina Miotto

Italy

Cantina Miotto is a family-run estate in Colbertaldo di Vidor, Treviso, in the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG area. Founded by Valter and Maria Virginia Miotto, it is now led by their children Andrea, winemaker and oenologist, and Matteo, who manages the vineyards and operations. The family cultivates its own vineyards across distinctive hillside sites, including old, steeply planted parcels with rocky, calcareous and morainic soils. Manual vineyard work, hand harvesting and separate vinification by plot support their focus on expressing place. Production emphasizes short supply chains, direct relationships and low environmental impact, without listed formal sustainability certification. Alongside Prosecco DOC and DOCG made using the Charmat method, Cantina Miotto produces traditional ColFondo wines through bottle refermentation and lees aging, as part of the ColFondo Agricolo project.
