Soldier’s Block is an Australian wine range from Boutinot Australia, based in Victoria and named for vineyard blocks established under the 1915 Returned Soldiers Settlement Act. Its Malbec comes from a 5-hectare, own-rooted block planted in 2000 within a larger estate, while Shiraz is also sourced from Langhorne Creek and other Victorian sites. Winemaking is led by Samantha Bailey and her team, with drip irrigation, minimal fertilisation and night machine-harvesting. The range focuses on consistent, commercially appealing single-varietal Malbec, Shiraz and Chardonnay, with ongoing efforts to improve sourcing and year-on-year quality. No formal sustainability certifications are specified.
