Producer

Guy Breton

France

Guy Breton is a family-owned producer in the Morgon area of Beaujolais, where he has run the domaine since taking over from his grandfather in 1988–89. Farming is certified organic, with no synthetic herbicides or pesticides, and the estate also works with carefully selected fruit from neighboring growers farmed organically or sustainably. Breton’s approach is firmly traditional and low-intervention: carbonic maceration, whole-cluster fermentation, indigenous yeasts, minimal sulfur, aging in used oak, and wines bottled unfined, unfiltered, or without filtration. The result is a distinctly artisanal, natural-wine style rooted in organic and ancestral viticulture.
