Cantine Olivella

Cantine Olivella is a family-run winery in Sant’Anastasia, in Campania’s Vesuvius National Park, at the foot of Monte Somma near Naples. Founded in 2005 and rooted in generations of Vesuvian farming, it focuses on native grapes including Catalanesca, Caprettone, and Piedirosso, with ungrafted vines on volcanic soils. The estate follows organic, biodynamic, and broader eco-sustainable farming principles, using green manure, organic fertilization only where needed, balanced pruning, manual harvest, and biodiversity-friendly practices. In the cellar, it works with indigenous yeasts and a low-intervention approach, aging wines in terracotta amphorae and steel. The wines are closely tied to the volcanic character, freshness, and identity of the Vesuvian landscape.
