Bertrand et Axelle Machard de Gramont

France

Bertrand et Axelle Machard de Gramont is a small, family-owned Burgundy estate based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, with additional parcels in Vosne-Romanée and Vergy. Founded by Bertrand Machard de Gramont in 1983, it is now owned and run by his daughter Axelle, who is also the winemaker. Certified organic since 2014, the domaine follows natural viticulture without herbicides, using native yeasts and minimal intervention. Since 2018, Axelle has also reduced oak contact during élevage, reflecting a restrained approach focused on expressing the wines and their origins.
