Baron de Montfaucon

France

Baron de Montfaucon is a family-owned estate in Lirac, in the southern Rhône Valley, based at its historic castle near the Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Rodolphe de Pins took over in 1995 and runs the estate with his brother, Rudi des Pins; both serve as winemakers and descend from the historic Barons de Montfaucon. The vineyards span more than 60 hectares and include 15 varieties, reflecting a broad range of terroirs. The estate has completed its organic conversion and is certified organic, as well as carrying a sustainable designation. Its wines are shaped by a multigenerational family history, distinctive architectural setting, and the varied vineyard landscape of Lirac.
