France

Sylvain Cathiard et Fils is a family-owned Burgundy domaine in Vosne-Romanée, founded in the 1930s and now run by Sébastien Cathiard with his wife and a very small team, continuing a multi-generation family history. The estate farms parcels across Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. Viticulture is hand-worked and labor-intensive, following organic, sustainable and ecological principles without formal certification; the wines are also described as vegan-friendly. Winemaking has been shaped by both Sylvain and Sébastien Cathiard, with an emphasis on hand-crafted, low-yield wines that reflect their Côte de Nuits sites.
