Nivarius is a Rioja estate founded and owned by Riojan entrepreneur Javier Palacios, operating within the family firm Palacios Vinos de Finca. It is focused exclusively on white wines in Rioja, alongside the separate red-wine project Proelio. The vineyards are farmed organically, with traditional horse-driven plowing, respect for biodiversity, and a minimal-intervention approach; notes also mention indigenous yeasts. Most production comes from estate-owned vineyards. Winemaking has been led by Raúl Tamayo since 2018, with support from consultants Alberto Antonini and Pedro Parra.
