Equipo Navazos

Spain

Equipo Navazos is a private, informal project based in Jerez, founded in 2005 by wine scholar Jesús Barquín and technical director Eduardo Ojeda, later joined by leading sherry figures including Álvaro Girón, Dirk Niepoort, and Sergi Colet. Known for rescuing forgotten casks from bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, El Puerto de Santa María, and Montilla, the group bottles highly limited, numbered releases with precise saca dates. Alongside these historic solera selections, they also produce terroir-driven wines from old-vine Palomino vineyards such as Miraflores La Baja in Sanlúcar, rooted in Jerez’s classic albariza soils. Their work emphasizes provenance, old vineyards, and the singular character of each release.
