Domaine Thierry Laffay et Filles

France

Domaine Thierry Laffay et Filles is a family-run Chablis estate established in 1978 and owned and operated by Thierry Laffay and his daughters, Mélanie and Maïlys, who joined in 2022. The domaine follows a virtually organic approach, with no fertilisers since 1990, no pesticides or herbicides, hand harvesting, low yields and minimal chemical intervention; no formal certification is noted. Thierry oversees the vineyard work, winemaking and bottling. The wines span Petit Chablis, Chablis, Premier Cru and Grand Cru, made with traditional élevage in stainless-steel tanks, lees ageing and bottling approximately one year after harvest. The family emphasizes simplicity, authenticity and sharing.
