Domaine Chante Cigale

France

Domaine Chante Cigale is a family-owned estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône Valley, run by the Favier family for generations. Owner-winemaker Alexandre Favier leads the domaine, farming a mosaic of 45 parcels across the appellation with diverse soils and grape varieties. The estate follows sustainable agriculture practices, though no formal certification is noted, and all fruit is hand-picked over a harvest that can last around six weeks. Low yields, including old-vine red plots, and consistent family leadership point to a quality-focused approach rooted in the character of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
