Daniel Colombo Wines

South Africa

Daniel Colombo Wines is a family-owned operation led by owner-operator Daniel Colombo in South Africa’s Western Cape. Drawing on family roots dating to 1875 in western Sicily, the project combines traditional heritage with a contemporary, minimal-intervention approach to boutique orange wines. Grapes are sourced from the cool-climate areas of Elgin and Botriver, with farming guided by organic principles; the available notes do not consistently confirm formal certification. Colombo’s wines reflect a hands-on, artisanal focus, while the family’s Sicilian background includes sweet and dry Marsala made from Grillo, Inzolia and Catarratto using modern equipment and traditional oak aging.
