Clos de May is a small Haut-Médoc estate in Bordeaux, owned by the Tessandier family and historically classified as Cru Bourgeois in the 1932 classification. Its vineyard lies on fine Garonne gravel over blue clay and is planted entirely to Merlot. Certified HVE, the estate follows sustainable practices including hand-harvesting, careful grape selection, and closely monitored vineyard management. Winemaking and ageing are overseen by Château Maucamps, with 12 months in French oak, including no more than 20% new oak, to support the expression of the Merlot.
