Château du Gazin

France

Château du Gazin is a family-owned Bordeaux estate held by the Robert family since 1935, with Georges-Antoine Robert leading the property alongside Nicolas de Bailliencourt. Located on the right bank near Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, its vineyards lie in Canon Fronsac and Fronsac on clay-limestone slopes overlooking the Dordogne. The vineyard is organically certified following conversion begun in 2018, with cover crops, manual soil decompaction, organic fertilisers, minimal pesticide use and hand harvesting. Merlot dominates the plantings, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Grapes are sorted and vinified parcel by parcel in temperature-controlled concrete vats, with French oak aging, producing traditionally styled red wines.
