Château de Montifaud

France

Château de Montifaud is an independent, family-owned Cognac house in the Sud-Ouest, founded in 1866 and now operated by the sixth generation, Laurent and Élodie Vallet. The family controls the estate from vineyard to bottle, cultivating vineyards in Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, with Laurent leading production. Sustainable cultivation and hand-harvesting are reported, although no formal certification is stated. The estate operates its own pot stills and blending cellar, combining traditional methods with a stated emphasis on quality and innovation. Its Cognacs are aged in Limousin oak barrels.
