Cascina Fontana

Italy

Cascina Fontana is a family-run estate in Piedmont’s Langhe, owned and managed by Mario and Luisa Fontana and representing six generations of the Fontana family. Working vineyards in Castiglione Falletto, La Morra, Sinio and Monforte d’Alba, the estate follows a traditional, low-intervention approach summed up by Mario Fontana’s “come una volta” philosophy. Farming and winemaking emphasize manual harvest, spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, no fining or chemical treatments, and only limited filtration. The wines are presented as organic and natural in spirit, though without formal certification.
