Cantine Benvenuto is a family-run estate in Calabria, founded and guided by Giovanni Benvenuto. Giovanni Celeste Benvenuto recovered family vineyards dating from the 1920s in Francavilla Angitola, with a particular focus on reviving Calabria’s historic Zibibbo, authorized as an IGP Calabrese and recognized as a Slow Food Presidium. The vineyards, located in the Serre Regional Park on volcanic-origin granite soils, have been farmed organically for decades, with an emphasis on sustainability and care for the territory. The estate also works with traditional Calabrian varieties including Gaglioppo, Magliocco, Nerello, Aglianico and Capuccio. Its approach combines respect for nature and tradition with a determined effort to reinterpret the region’s heritage, notably through its Zibibbo wines.
