Benoît Girardin

France

Benoît Girardin is a family-owned domaine based in Santenay, where the Girardin family has been established for generations. After returning to the family estate in 2011 and learning from his father Yves, Benoît created his own label in 2020 to farm inherited and additional parcels under his own direction. He is the primary winemaker and operator, working with a low-intervention approach that includes hand harvesting, indigenous yeasts, gentle vinification, unfiltered wines, and bottling according to the lunar cycle. With no formal certifications cited, the domaine’s philosophy is nonetheless rooted in letting nature work and in respecting Burgundy’s terroirs across appellations such as Santenay, Pommard, Meursault, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Chassagne-Montrachet.
