Adegas Gran Vinum is a second-generation family winery founded in 2002 in Vilanova de Arousa, in Galicia’s Val do Salnés subzone of Rías Baixas. Led by owner-winemaker Enrique Piñeiro, the estate focuses on Albariño from its own vineyards and small local grower parcels. Vines grow on sandy, granite soils along slopes and riverbanks influenced by the Atlantic and Ría de Arousa, using traditional Galician pergola training, green pruning, cluster thinning and enrichment with cockle and clam shells. Harvesting is entirely manual, with careful selection, gentle pneumatic pressing, cold maceration and temperature-controlled stainless-steel fermentation. The resulting wines emphasize Albariño’s freshness, acidity and citrus, floral and tropical character.
