Agricola Gian Piero Marrone

Italy

Agricola Gian Piero Marrone is a four-generation family estate in La Morra, at the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe. Owned by Gian Piero and Giovanna Marrone and managed by their daughters Valentina, Serena and Denise, the winery combines traditional values with a forward-looking approach, with Valentina serving as winemaker. Vineyard work follows organic and sustainable principles: no herbicides, mechanical weed control, selected organic fertilizers, and meticulous manual pruning, thinning and harvesting. The family’s “happy plant” philosophy emphasizes soil health, biodiversity and careful observation of each vine. In the cellar, cool-hour picking, gentle handling, indigenous-yeast fermentations and restrained sulphite use aim to preserve the identity of each grape, vineyard and vintage. The estate produces classic Langhe wines including Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Arneis and Moscato d’Asti, and has received recognition from international critics and competitions.
