Italy

Talenti is a family-owned, estate-grown producer in Montalcino, founded by Pierluigi Talenti in the 1980s and now run by his grandson Riccardo Talenti, who is also the winemaker. The estate focuses mainly on Sangiovese Grosso for Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino, with vineyards on brown clay-loam soils with limestone plates. Farming is conventional, with no organic or sustainability certifications reported. In the cellar, Talenti uses temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation followed by aging in French oak tonneaux and larger Slavonian oak casks, aiming for finesse rather than heavy extraction.
