Schloss Gobelsburg is a historic estate in Gobelsburg in Niederösterreich’s Kamptal, with documented winegrowing roots going back to the 12th century and a long Cistercian tradition. The property is owned by the Monastery of Zwettl, while Eva and Michael Moosbrugger have directed day-to-day operations since 1996, with Georg Moosbrugger also involved in winemaking. Farming centers on sustainable vineyard work, including careful pruning, canopy management, hand harvesting, transport in small boxes, and strict sorting before gentle pressing. The estate is certified under Austria’s sustainability program and is also a member of Österreichische Traditionsweingüter. Its key sites include Ried Heiligenstein, Ried Lamm, and Zöbinger Gaisberg.
