Poggiolo

Italy

Poggiolo is a family-owned estate under the Castello di Monsanto name in Barberino Val d’Elsa, western Chianti Classico. Founded by Fabrizio Bianchi in 1961, it is now co-owned by Laura Bianchi, a key figure in the estate. A vineyard replanting program increased planting density to about 5,500 vines per hectare, reflecting a focus on quality viticulture. The notes also describe eco-friendly, sustainable farming practices, though no certifications are specified. The estate’s wines are shaped by its family ownership and careful vineyard development.
