Matteo Ascheri leads Cantine Ascheri, a seventh-generation family estate in Piedmont, founded in 1880 and now joined by his son Giuseppe. Based across key areas including La Morra, Verduno, Serralunga d’Alba and Bra, the estate produces Barolo and other Piedmont wines. Its vineyard work follows an organic-style, low-intervention approach, with minimal chemical treatments and regular manual care aimed at preserving soil health, though no formal certifications are noted. Winemaking is overseen by Matteo Ascheri with oenologist Giuliano Bedino and agronomist Edoardo Monticelli, with an emphasis on natural wine production. The estate also includes a hotel and restaurant and relies on long-term staff dedicated to specific vineyards.
