Château Labat is a Cru Bourgeois estate in Bordeaux, acquired by the Nony family in the 1920s and sold to Bernard Magrez in 2022. The fourth generation of the Nony family invested in quality from the 2001 vintage while preserving the estate’s typicity. Its 7 hectares of vineyards lie on deep Günzian gravel, with wine made exclusively from estate-grown grapes rather than purchased fruit. Labat has retained Cru Bourgeois status since the original 1932 classification. Following the change of ownership, its future—including possible absorption into Château La Tour Carnet—was undecided at the time reported.
