Ilia Estate is a Kakheti producer based in Mukhatgverdi village, run by co-founder Levan Zhvania and owned by the Konchosvilli family, who also manage the historic Bedoba estate. The winery works with its own vineyards as well as fruit from local farms, focusing on organic farming, hand-harvested and carefully sorted grapes, and sustainable, vegan-friendly winemaking. Its vineyards in Kvareli and Kindzmarauli include vines averaging 30 years old, planted on black shale soils on the southern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains. Ilia Estate follows traditional qvevri methods and emphasizes natural wines, with winemaking led by Nugzar Ksovreli and Thierry Fontannaz.
