Henschke is a sixth-generation family-owned Australian winery founded in 1868, with vineyards in Eden Valley, Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills. Led by Stephen Henschke and viticulturist Prue Henschke, with active involvement from the next generation, it emphasises close integration between vineyard and winery and a focus on single-vineyard and small-parcel wines with a strong sense of place. Farming is fully organic and incorporates biodynamic and regenerative practices, with certification from Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and Gold Member status with International Wineries for Climate Action. Henschke is also part of Australia’s First Families of Wine and has shown long-term commitment to vineyard regeneration, including the recovery of Lenswood after the 2019 bushfire.
