Producer

Gianni Gagliardo

Italy

Gianni Gagliardo is a family-owned producer based in La Morra in Piedmont’s Langhe-Roero, rooted in the Colla family’s winegrowing tradition since 1847. After the family’s move to La Morra in 1961, Gianni Gagliardo took over and today runs the estate with his sons Stefano, Alberto and Paolo. The vineyards span Barolo and Roero, including noted MGA sites such as Lazzarito, Castelletto, Monvigliero, Mosconi and Fossati. The estate is certified organic, follows biodynamic principles, and emphasizes soil vitality, biodiversity, massal selection and vine-by-vine care. In the cellar, the family works with minimal intervention, gravity flow and underground ageing, aiming for balance, elegance and pure expression.
