Generazione Alessandro is an Etna project created by cousins Benedetto, Anna and Benedetto Alessandro, the fourth generation of a winemaking family based in Palermo province. Drawing on their experience at Alessandro di Camporeale, they established vineyards on Etna’s north-eastern slopes to produce wines with a strong sense of place. Their vineyards lie within the Etna DOC zone, across several contrade with distinct volcanic soils, exposures and microclimates. The old palmento houses the cellar, while traditional Etna practices—including terracing, dry lava-stone walls and alberello training—reflect the area’s heritage. Working with native varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Carricante and Nerello Cappuccio, the cousins interpret the differences between individual sites through wines of personality and character.
