La Gazzetta is a small, family-run natural wine estate in Lazio, founded and operated by Australian expatriate Trish Gazzetta and her partner Piero. Located near Lake Bolsena on volcanic clay and limestone soils, the vineyards include old Sangiovese vines and are interplanted with olive, fig, cherry, and pear trees to encourage biodiversity. The wines are made with a low-intervention approach, including whole-bunch fermentation, chestnut-cask aging, and no additives. Wild, soulful, and expressive, they reflect the character of the volcanic terroir.
