Family-owned since 1861, Fattoria Mancini is now run by fifth-generation owner Luigi Mancini in northern Marche. Its vineyards lie within Monte San Bartolo Natural Park, above the Focara cliff near the Adriatic, on calcareous sandstone soils with a cool, north-facing coastal exposure. The estate focuses on Pinot Noir, including historic family clones, and produces only from its own grapes. Low-yield, hand-harvested viticulture, mechanical soil management without chemical herbicides, and the use of local compost reflect its sustainable approach. Seven of the winery’s eleven wines are based on Pinot Noir, including the flagship Impero Blanc de Pinot Noir, first made in 1998, alongside Sangiovese, Albanella, and Ancellotta. Its wines express a long-developed vision grounded in research, experience, and respect for local origins.
