Jérémie Huchet is a fourth-generation, family-owned Muscadet producer based in Château-Thébaud in the Loire Valley. Working exclusively with Melon de Bourgogne, he focuses on terroir-driven wines from varied granite, gabbro, gneiss and clay-rich sites, including old-vine parcels such as Clos des Montys. The estate has farmed sustainably since 2001, with organic conversion underway and certified organic status for La Templerie; no artificial fertilizers or synthetic chemicals are used, and vineyard work emphasizes hand harvesting, ploughing and soil health. In the former monastery cellars at La Chauvinière, Huchet vinifies parcel by parcel, using lees aging, foudre and oak barrels to bring out the character and aging potential of Muscadet’s communal crus.
