Château de Melin is a historic, family-owned estate in Burgundy, now in its eighth generation under the Derats family. It farms 28 hectares of vines across 60 plots in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, producing wines from 21 appellations. Since 2009, the vineyards have been certified organic, cultivated without pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic chemicals, using only minimal sulfur and copper. The property includes a 16th-century château that offers guest rooms, but the focus remains on artisanal, organic winemaking overseen by the family, led by Arnaud Derats.
