Château Coussin is the flagship estate of the Sumeire family in Provence’s Côtes-de-Provence Sainte-Victoire appellation. A family of wine merchants for five generations, the Sumeires moved into estate cultivation in 1968, and the property retains the historic name of its 18th-century owner, Esprit Jean-Baptiste Coussin. Certified HVE level 3, the estate avoids herbicides, uses organic treatments when possible, relies on mechanical weed control and limits pesticide use to support biodiversity. Winemaking is led by Olivier, Sophie and Annabelle Sumeire, with support from Joel Magnoni, Jean Pierre Sumeire and consultant Daniel Peraldi.
