Château Cheval Blanc is a Premier Grand Cru Classé (A) estate in Saint‑Émilion, Bordeaux. With about 41 ha of vineyards planted mainly to Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it produces roughly 2,000–2,500 cases of Grand Vin and 1,000 cases of second wine Le Petit Cheval annually. The estate is owned by the Lurton family within the LVMH group and managed by Pierre Lurton. It follows an agro‑ecological program certified HVE Level 3, featuring no‑till soils, biodiversity livestock (goats, sheep, pigs, chickens), thousands of fruit trees and beehives. Winemaking is led by Thierry Lurton, supported by cellar master Thierry Garnaud, oenologists Cornelis Van Leeuwen and Gilles Pauquet, and Pierre‑Olivier Clouet. A modern $20 million cellar houses 52 temperature‑controlled concrete vats for parcel‑specific vinification.
