Château Bournac is a family-run Médoc estate in Civrac-en-Médoc, operated by Vignobles Secret. The Secret family moved from Picardy in 1975, and three generations have since worked to produce Médoc wines. Guillaume, Didier, Hubert and Thibaud Secret share vineyard and cellar responsibilities, with Thibaud vinifying Château Bournac and decisions made collectively. The 14-hectare Bournac vineyard lies between the ocean and Gironde on clay-limestone soils, with vines over 40 years old. Farming includes reasoned pest control, grassed inter-rows and soil work beneath the vines. The estate is certified AREA, HVE3, ISO 14001, TerraVitis and Bee Friendly. Château Bournac is a Médoc Cru Bourgeois, producing wines marked by ripe black-fruit aromas, round supple tannins and light oak.
