Whitehaven is a family-owned winery based in Marlborough, working across the Southern Valleys, Wairau and Awatere sub-regions. Co-founded by Sue and the late Greg White, the business remains led by Sue, with daughter Samantha also involved. Its wines are grown, crafted and bottled from Marlborough fruit, emphasizing powerful, elegant expressions of the region’s classic styles. Whitehaven is accredited by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand and Appellation Marlborough Wine, with initiatives covering water and energy conservation, recycling, biodiversity and carbon assessment; its winery is also BioGro certified for organic production. The Greg single-vineyard series honors the founder, while the Kōparepare range supports LegaSea’s work to restore New Zealand’s inshore fisheries.
