Manz is a family-run Rheinhessen estate in Weinolsheim, where three generations have worked together since 1725. Eric Manz is the winemaker and decision-maker alongside his father, continuing a hands-on approach focused on quality, individuality, and wines that unmistakably taste of Manz. The estate farms 25 hectares across varied sites, including the steep, iron-rich slate of the Roter Hang and calcareous marl vineyards such as Kehr, first documented in 1465. Riesling is central, producing mineral, long-lived wines, alongside Grüner Veltliner, Weissburgunder, Spätburgunder, and other styles. In the cellar, wines mature in stainless steel and barrique with time and minimal intervention: healthy grapes are given “time and peace.” The winery also operates a vinotheque and offers tastings.
