von Winning is an estate in Deidesheim in Germany’s Pfalz, farming vineyards across Deidesheim, Forst, and Ruppertsberg. The winery is family-owned in some sources, while other notes describe private ownership by Achim Niederberger since 2007; it is managed by Stephan Attmann with Andreas Hütwohl, and Attmann leads winemaking alongside Kurt Rathgeber. Vineyard work is organic and sustainability-focused, with biodynamic practices including moon-phase pruning, homeopathic treatments, and extensive cover crops, though no formal certification is clearly established in the notes. With sites spanning varied soils from loess and limestone to basalt and red sandstone, von Winning is especially focused on Riesling, from approachable bottlings to wines built for long aging.
