Uggiano is a Tuscan producer based in San Vincenzo a Torri, with vineyards in the hills between Montespertoli, Montelupo Fiorentino and San Casciano Val di Pesa, and holdings in Maremma at Tenuta Aquilaia. Founded in the 1970s and shaped by Giuseppe Losapio, the estate has been owned and run since 2014 by three longtime employees—Giacomo, Fabio and Daniele—with Daniele Prosperi as winemaker. Uggiano combines traditional enology with modern bottling technology, aging its wines in large Slavonian oak casks and French oak barriques. Farming is conventional but aims to limit pesticide and herbicide use, and the winery highlights sustainable measures including bottling-line upgrades to reduce CO2 emissions. It also holds BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and IFS Food certifications.
