Tenuta Bastonaca is based in Vittoria, in Sicily’s Cerasuolo di Vittoria area, and works from an 18th-century palmento. Its vineyards are hand-farmed in organic conversion, following natural-agriculture principles without irrigation, with head-trained alberello vines and the use of natural and recyclable materials. The estate cultivates native varieties including Frappato and Nero d’Avola alongside Grenache, Tannat, and other international grapes, combining traditional methods with experimentation. It has also acquired a one-hectare parcel of approximately 50-year-old Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio vines in Solicchiata on Mount Etna. The winery is supported by agronomist and oenologist Carlo Ferrini.
