Riva dei Frati

Italy

Riva dei Frati is a family-owned winery in Valdobbiadene, at the heart of the Prosecco Superiore zone, still run by the Adami Merotto family who founded it in 1988. The family’s winemaking roots in the area reach back to the late 19th century, while the estate’s historic land dates to 1256. Its vineyards between Col San Martino and Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene include old vines in Cartizze and are cultivated entirely by hand on terraces and slopes reaching 20%, with a focus on plant health, biodiversity, and preserving genetic heritage. The winery completes the full production cycle on site, combining traditional knowledge with modern technology. Gentle pressing, cold settling, selected yeasts, and the Charmat method shape its Prosecco DOC Treviso, Valdobbiadene DOCG, Superiore, and Cartizze wines. Tastings are available by appointment.
