Piper-Heidsieck is a historic Champagne house in Reims, founded in 1785 and today owned by the family-owned EPI Group. Under Chief Winemaker Émilien Boutillat, the maison emphasizes blending, innovation, and a contemporary expression of its long-established style. It works with a large network of independent growers and highlights a strong sustainability agenda: B Corp certification since 2022, 100% VDC certification, HVE level 3, zero-herbicide viticulture, mechanical weed control, and biodiversity initiatives such as hedgerows, beehives, and flowered fallow. The house also publishes detailed sustainability reports and has set ambitious carbon-reduction targets through 2030 and net-zero goals for 2050.
