Germany

Founded in 1786 and based in Westhofen, P.J. Valckenberg is a long-established German wine company with roots in Rheinhessen. Its Valckenberg Négociant division produces sparkling and still wines from sourced grapes, including fruit from the historic Weingut Liebfrauenstift, with an emphasis on quality, typicity and fair pricing. The wider group includes historic estates such as Prinz Salm, whose 16 hectares in the Nahe and Rheinhessen are planted to Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. The Prinz Salm estate is overseen by Prince Felix zu Salm-Salm, while Peter Bohn and Tilman Queins are executive partners. The group is Fair’n Green certified and a VDP member, reflecting sustainable vineyard management and corporate responsibility.
