Chianti Classico Riserva

Fattoria Carpineta is a family-owned organic farm and winery in Montaperti, Castelnuovo Berardenga, near Siena, in the southern part of Chianti Classico. The Cresti family’s winemaking tradition reaches back to the late 19th century, while the estate was established as a company in 1967 by Italo Cresti. Certified organic since 2008 (IT BIO 006 B2399), it farms without synthetic chemicals, with careful attention to soil and vineyard health. Its vineyards include Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Alicante, planted on varied sandy, silty, clayey and stony soils. The estate produces Chianti Classico, Chianti Colli Senesi and Toscana IGT wines, including structured, age-worthy Sangiovese from the clay-rich Vigna Dofana. Today, siblings Filippo and Gioia Cresti, together with Sara, oversee the winery, production and hospitality.
