Domaine La Croix Montjoie is a family-owned estate in Tharoiseau, in Burgundy’s Vézelay appellation, founded in 2009 by Sophie and Matthieu Woillez. Certified organic since the 2021 vintage, the domaine farms mainly limestone-rich and clay soils around Tharoiseau, with a focus on sustainable vineyard work. Sophie, granddaughter of Beaujolais winemakers, leads the winemaking, while Matthieu, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, works alongside her. Based in a renovated former farm close to the vines, the estate produces Bourgogne Vézelay wines and Crémant de Bourgogne, with Chardonnay expressing freshness, fruit and minerality.
