Domaine de la Combe is a family-run estate in the Loire Valley, centered on the La Pétière hillside. The estate farms old vines, with parcels rooted in gneiss, mica schist, orthogneiss and schist, and follows sustainable viticulture without formal certification mentioned. The domaine was expanded by the family in 2009, and in 2016 Pierre-Henri Gadais returned after training in viticulture and oenology and gaining experience with biodynamic practices in Burgundy, Bordeaux, Sancerre, Switzerland and Australia. In the cellar, harvests are done by hand with double sorting, fermentation uses indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks and large barrels, and the wines are aged on fine lees for several months, reflecting a clear terroir-focused approach.
